A 50-DAY TRAINING COURSE IN CRANIOSACRAL BIODYNAMIC

Foundational Training

This training course is an introduction into the subtle approach of Craniosacral Biodynamic. This work is in its essence perceptual, relational, and non-intentional. Rather than aligning it with "body" work as such we need to understand that we participate in different material and immaterial bodies. To access and invite alignment of these bodies is a basic orientation of this relational approach that requires at any moment connection to stillness, oneness, and wholeness.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy builds on the rich heritage of osteopathy in the cranial field and moves beyond the idea of intervening into the structure of the body to intentional manipulate change. It is based on the experience that health comes from outside the somatic system. This health can be accessed and enhanced by an attuned explorative and gentle relationship between facilitator, client, and the perceptual capacity to connect to primary respiration. Sensitively shifting our intention and attention invites dynamic anti-entropic forces to enhance overall health, resiliency, and dynamic self-resolution. Relating to health is different from fighting symptoms or invading the body.

Biodynamic Craniosacral work unites different streams of knowledge. It draws on its founding osteopathic originators, including Andrew Taylor Still, William Garner Sutherland, and currently James S. Jealous. This work integrates an understanding of dynamic embryology, findings of interpersonal neurobiology, bonding and attachment theory, developmental psychology, and interrelational traumahealing. The work opens a gateway into experiencing grounded sacredness and wholeness that is non-verbal, but reaches into the felt-sense of our existence. It is an exploration into the divine forces at work within us and could alternatively be called embodied spiritodynamics.

The course serves therapists, bodyworkers, and other health care professionals, as well as individuals with an advanced interest in personal processes. Participation requires basic self-regulation capacities, self-reflection and reading skills, and acquisition of theory, as well as continued practice with clients and documentation of sessions.
